The crew will be using several different camera systems for the film. Long gone are the days when an entire production was shot on one type of camera and one film stock. Specialty cameras and techniques are dedicated to different parts of the project.
Canon EOS 5D Mark II
The Canon 5D Mark II will be used for time-lapse sequences and behind-the-scenes sequences. We will always have two Canon 5Ds on location with us for each filming session.
This amazing gyro-stabilized camera system will be used for helicopter aerials and “rolling” shots using our crane and Cinetruck. The Cineflex was first used by the BBC for Planet Earth, and now is present on almost every nature documentary production around the world. The Cineflex V14HD uses a Sony HDC1500-R camera with dual-link 4:4:4 output. The lens kits include the Fujinon 42x 9.7mm, and Fujinon 13x 4.5mm.
Cinetruck and Enlouva Crane
The Cinetruck and Enlouva Crane allow us to get beautiful sweeping shots of the Badlands landscape.
The fantastic portable Ditogear OmniSlider unit allows us to create beautiful motion timelapses in almost any location!
